If you are injured in Alabama, you can get money for your pain and suffering. It is part of the law that some applaud for helping injured folk and others condemn as the “catch all” for those trying to lie, cheat and manipulate their way into money they do not deserve.

It has been my experience that people who think pain and suffering payments are wrong are often people who have never been injured. Alabama does not set an amount for pain and suffering. It is left to a jury or what an insurance company thinks a jury would decide. Here is the part that might shock you. Pain and suffering is so common that those in the legal business never seem to question that it actually exists. They fight only on the severity.
