You Need a Lawyer for Camp Lejeune Settlement

Allen Ritchie • October 7, 2022

The U.S. government is admitting it did wrong, but it is not making it easy for the victims of Camp Lejeune to get the cash they need. I simply do not believe you can go it alone. You are going to need a lawyer.

Here is why. The paperwork has become so complex that I do not see how a non-lawyer can work through it. Add to this that many of the victims are desperately sick. Some have already died.

Let me give you just one example of the difficulty in getting this money. If you miss filing just one specific piece of paper by the due date, you could be barred from collecting anything – forever. And you may have to file dozens or even hundreds of pieces of paper.

Why so complex? The government fears the fraud generated by the COVID-19 money distribution.

Camp Lejeune victims have suffered from many diseases and conditions, including cancer, congenital disabilities, Parkinson’s disease, and stillborn births. The list is so long that almost everyone who worked at the camp has suffered and should receive the lumpsum payout.

Hiring an attorney will not cost you anything out of your pocket, and I firmly believe you should hire an Alabama lawyer from right here in the Gulf Coast area. Why? You need someone you can meet with face to face and who will look out for your specific interests.

I have worked with a lot of veterans over the years. I feel it is my duty to help those who have given so much for our freedom. What happened at Camp Lejeune is heartbreaking, but you can get the help and the money to hopefully get better.

I encourage you to call us at Eiland and Ritchie. The government established a time limit. Do not let it pass.

Also, join us on NBC 15 LawCall here in Mobile every Sunday night at 10:30, right after the news.
